On June 22, SoftServe HQ hosted guests from Summer School of Mathematical Modeling, organized by the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. More than 30 students from 15 countries, who graduate from the universities of L'Aquila, Hamburg, Barcelona, Nice, Gdansk, Katowice, and Lviv this summer were about to find out how IT Company operates from the inside.

In terms of SoftServe’s cooperation with Lviv University, the company’s experts held a series of lectures and presentations, backed up by real cases in the areas of Data Science, Internet of Things, mathematical modeling and algorithm for complex systems. During the meetings, the participants tried to resolve the main question – how mathematical modeling can be used in software development.

“SoftServe is actively involved in similar programs because after many years of global experience we have something to share with students. Participation in the program will help them understand the industry and its latest trends better, define their strengths and features of product placement on the market, see the practical use of what they are studying,” says Mykola Maksymenko, Research Engineer at Softserve, who also lectured for foreign guests.

The development of IT education is one of the priorities in SoftServe’s CSR strategy. You can find out about previous corporate social responsibility projects in the Social Report.
